A father daughter business created with the goal of reusing and recycling materials into custom made pieces of furniture and art in Buffalo, NY in an attempt to reduce our environmental footprint.
After flipping a house built in 1912 in North Buffalo, my Dad and I had a lot of let over oak hardwood flooring that wasn't in pristine enough condition to be reused in the house. Before we threw it out I wanted to make something for my parents and myself as memorabilia from the project. A picture frame and coffee table came out of that and the response from family and friends was overwhelming. Having returned from some months overseas I finished a couple more projects encouraging friends told us that we have something really interesting at our fingertips. We decided to take our passion and creativity and turn it into a business. With a space to build and the time to dedicate to projects, we look to be able to work with our customers to build custom made pieces to suit your house and your needs. The most important aspect of our business is to ensure we reuse and recycle as many of the materials that go into our projects as possible. As we try each day to reduce our environmental footprint, we bring that same mentality into our business. We are surrounded by "old" materials that are overlooked and underused. The result- we keep buying new stuff which in turn feeds into further use of our natural resources. It may be on a small scale, but every effort counts so we make this a top priority of ours. The good news- recycled materials have so much more character than their new counterparts; something many of us living in old beautiful houses in Buffalo know first hand.
