I am originally from Santa Monica Ca. (Suburb of Los Angeles) I moved to Turlock back in 2009 and due to the economy and the lack of jobs here I knew I had to do something to start paying the bills. I started out making candle holders with different pieces of wood, then moved to glass, ceramics and just about anything unique I could find. Then one day a girl from Waterford called and asked if I could paint a zebra pattern on a candle holder, I said sure and the "Zebra Everything" was born. I had no idea the love so many people have for this print . Not just Zebra either. Cheetah, Leopard and even Giraffe! First almost all the orders were pieces for children, then it was complete bedroom sets. Next the adults got in on the Zebra craze and its all History from there really. I have made great friends doing this. Its a little weird when people start calling you "The Modesto Zebra Lady".LOL. The one thing I realized after making 100's of sets was I was actually creating a memory. Don;t you remember your childhood bedroom? Good or bad it's something that just stays with you. Someday 30 or 50 years from now these little ones will look back and remember the colorful, fun and original bedroom set they had growing up. I did that, I never thought I could leave a kind of legacy behind or be thought of by so many when I leave this earth. My best day through all this is the day a child see's what I created just for them for the first time. That's my pay-day and its what makes me love to do what I do..
