We're going to discuss the different properties of the paint. What it can do, what it can't do, and basically how wonderful it is. First off, Black Dog Salvage Furniture Paint is water-based, easy, soap and water cleanup, even off of your clothes if you attend to it and don't let it dry right away. It is 50% latex, 50% acrylic. We put the acrylic in there to beef it up. Most products on the market today are just a latex base. That's what sets ours apart. And because of that, you should never shake the paint. Because if you shake it, the acrylic, the latex and the different clay bodies will pull apart versus meld together. That's why we always stir. And with every purchase, we give you a stir stick. I'm going to open t At least an hour before I start a paint project, I turn my can upside down. In my studio, where I have a lot of cans, I rotate them and turn them around a couple times a week just to make sure that they're not settling too hard. It is a thick paint until you get all the components back together and then they flow So I'm going to open t And I picked it because it will show that when you open it, it's not going to look anything So what I do is I start in deep. I pull in I scrape the bottom of the can. It doesn't feel gritty, but you can see that the color has not gotten to the point where it looks That's why you have to keep stirring. Turn on the news or better yet music and just take your time. You want to make sure that when you start, you don't have any swirls of different colors. You can see that gray in here. It should all be one color. That's how you can determine if you'ready to decant your paint into a bucket or right out of the can. And as you saw before, it was pretty t
