Here's a craft you can do with the whole family, easy, and you can do it with the materials you have on hand. I picked ghosts because Halloween is nearby, but genuinely you can pick any shape you want that everybody can make their own thing. Just grab some cardboard or the inside of a cracker box or cereal box to use as a stencil. Grab some paper and trace the stencil for everyone in the family. Use a trick when you need to cut out multiple pieces of paper in the same shape. Either clip it or a staple works really well. All the pieces of paper together and then that's the last section that you cut. Everyone had free creative range to decorate it however they want, but the ones that were painted actually did start to curl, so I glued those on another piece of thin cardboard. This cutie here was actually the stencil that I then turned into my paint palette. When I was all done I just mixed all the colors together, also gave her eyelashes and a cute little bow. You can have your kids do this by themselves, you can do it by yourself, you can do it as a family. My kids are all older, teens and young adults, and I just sat them down and said this is what we're doing. They all came up with some really creative ideas. This is my daughter's and she just instantly knew she wanted to make it in nature, went outside and collected a bunch of colorful leaves, glued them on, and then later we modged it to help it hopefully keep its color a little bit longer. Per usual I was feeling a bit floral inspired, so I just painted a background and then added some flowers and leaves. One of my sons created this awesome mountain and lake scene, I love it. Another son created this sweetest little ghost that's holding a rose in its little hands. The next son, I love this, created this geometric stained glass color, I don't really know what to tell you here, but my husband went awry and what he wanted to do didn't work out at first, then he created another one and it turned into this whole historical fiction thing, but whatever. Originally my intent was to make garland to go on top of our fireplace, but they ended up being a little bit too big and so then I thought about taping them to our cupboards, and eventually I just ended up taping them to our walls. So you have options, you can make them smaller, you can put them in a frame, just go create something.
