Buying a new mattress doesn't have to break the bank. The good news is you can get a really high quality, durable mattress that is also quite affordable. Now, you can easily find beds online for just a couple hundred dollars, but the reality is that these aren't very supportive, and you'll need to replace them far more often. So we have done our homework to find affordable beds that should also last. And remember, if you So let's take a look at some of our favorite affordable mattresses. First up is the Nectar mattress. You can get the Nectar as an all foam bed or a hybrid, which has a supportive coil base. Regardless of which you choose, you can get a queen or king size model for under a thousand dollars and under seven hundred dollars if you go with the queen, depending on the discount. Now, we love the all foam Nectar. It's great for most side sleepers under 230 pounds since the foam layers hug your shoulders and your hips and then reduce the buildup of pressure. These foam layers are also great at limiting motion transfer. So if you sleep with a partner or a pet, then you shouldn't notice their shifts throughout the night. Now, we did find that the foam on this model tends to heat up. So if you sleep hot, that could be an issue. In that case, we do recommend looking to the hybrid Nectar for a more cooling option. It has all of the same pressure relief and support as the all foam model, but it sleeps just a bit cooler. Overall, a really solid affordable pick from Nectar. Next up, we have the Lisa Studio. Our testing team found this to be one of the most comfortable picks on our list. And at under seven hundred dollars for a queen, under eight hundred dollars for a king, you're also looking at one of the most affordable beds too. The Lisa is an all foam bed that's about 10 inches thick and rates about a six on our 10 point firmness scale. That puts the firmness in a range suitable for most people and our testing team The result is a bed that offers good pressure relief, but that doesn't give you that feeling of being stuck in the bed. We Finally, the foam layers also dampened any movements on the bed, and our tests found it to be a great pick for couples. Next on the list is the Layla Essential that comes in under six hundred dollars. This is Layla's base model bed, and it's a simple, straightforward all foam bed at about nine inches thick. It's a relatively low profile bed, so it should fit most sheets out there. It's made from two layers of foam and the cover has a nice open cell design to promote airflow and cooling. The side sleepers on our team loved the way the foam relieved pressure in their shoulders and their hips, and they found that it was easy to move and shift around on the surface. Likewise, the back sleepers also felt well supported in their l Our testers indicated that sleepers over 230 pounds would struggle to get adequate support, as would many stomach sleepers. So if you are in either of those categories, it's just something to keep in mind. But overall, Layla offers a really supportive, affordable option that, by the way, comes with a 120 night sleep trial and a 10 year warranty. Let's talk about the Brooklyn Bedding Essential, one of our favorites for people with back pain. Brooklyn Bedding is a company known for making high quality beds at their factory in Arizona and the essential carries on that lineage. This is a hybrid mattress that's available for about $850 for a king and around $700 for a queen, which are great price points for a hybrid bed. With a strong coil base, our testing team found that regardless if they were a side, back, or stomach sleeper, their bodies were kept in a neutral, healthy alignment. This helped reduce pressure points in their back due to a misaligned spine and helped ease some of their tension. Meanwhile, the top layer of foam cushioned joints and prevented any pressure buildup. Hybrids are known for sleeping cooler than all foam beds thanks to a coil base helping to make the bed more breathable. So if you're someone who sleeps hot throughout the night, the Brooklyn Bedding Essential should keep you plenty cool throughout the evening. Finally, let's talk about the Bear Original, one of our top picks for couples. The Bear is an all foam model that slots a little firmer than many other foam beds on the market. That firmness made it ideal for those on our testing team who weighed more than 230 pounds. This group found that their hips and shoulders were well supported and though the foam on the bear cushioned their joints, their spine stayed in a neutral alignment. We also That reduced the amount of heat that got trapped near our bodies and helped our testing team sleep fairly cool throughout the night. And of course, given this is a top pick for couples, you can expect this to have strong motion isolation, so you shouldn't experience your partner's movements throughout the night. Well, that's it for some of our top affordable mattresses. For more on each of these, as well as some of our other favorite beds, check out sleepfoundation. org. And by the way, you're going to need some sheets to go with that new mattress. So check out our review of our top sheets of the year right here. Sleep tight.
