Hello, my name is Juan Pablo Fuentes and I am an industrial designer. The world of furniture and objects has led me to be a conference speaker, teacher and even director of a design school for four years. As a designer, I formed a design content development company, where focus is to lend services to companies as creative directors. My furniture has been put into different design fairs in the world, such as Habitat Valencia in Spain, 100% from London or Salu00f3n Satyrte in Milan. I also developed vitrines for companies As a small city in the south of Chile, my youth has gone through rivers, forests and mountains, which has been reflected in my designs today. Today, what moves me the most is the art of this discipline, rescue, concepts, colors and details. I have a lot of respect for the material and I try not to contaminate them so that the raw material is always noble and pure. In this course, we will unwrap a collection of furniture, taking as a requirement brand, logo and spirit of the domestic company. We will start with a general view of industrial design, where we will talk about how to take a basic concept to a collection that can be made. I want you to look at what surrounds you and learn to observe it to simplify it later in a concept. The plan is that you can finish with 3 or 4 scale models, center tables, auxiliary shelves or an alfombra. First, I will introduce you to whom I am referring and influences. We will define what industrial design is and we will move from a concept to a collection. We will look for references and we will investigate the market. We will define what we will design, whether it is a product or a collection. I will show you that we can all draw, which is not just an artist to plan your ideas on paper. We will put our hands on the work, I will teach you how to develop a basic construction plan and I will give you advice to take the plan to a final model. To take this course, it is not necessary to be a designer. You just have to have an interest in creating something in 3 dimensions to take to your home. Now, if you are a professional, this course will be for you a bathroom of tips, secrets and visual culture. You will need a computer and perhaps a printer, paper, pencils, rules, additives, scissors and for the final stage materials to make. This course is thought for everyone who is interested in making their own furniture or designing for 3 dimensions. Design is for everyone, design is a verb that we can all use.
