Target Store Pasadena-East

and we begin with this breaking news a suspect in a deadly stabbing caught at a Pasadena Target store. CPS 2's Laurie Perez is live at the murder scene on Mentor Avenue with more information. Laurie. Well Pat neighbors in this beautiful neighborhood tell us as upsetting as this is trouble at this home behind me is not entirely unexpected. Apparently police have been called to this home at 1025 North Mentor often where they say an elderly couple lives with extended younger family members. Police were called here again at around 2 p. m. Today on calls of a stabbing Pasadena police have confirmed it was an elderly victim who was pronounced dead on the scene. They say the suspect fled this house and neighborhood but was tracked to a nearby target on Colorado Boulevard. That is only a few miles away. Investigators did then in fact evacuate that store while they tried to make contact with the suspect. As you can imagine in the middle of the day target was busy with shoppers. The store was emptied while investigators found and took the suspect into custody just after four o'clock. That was about two hours after the initial response. Now please have since arrested that suspect but back here live a lot more work to be done. Police have not released any identity identities not of the victim or the suspect nor have they suggested or said what might have been the motive. But we are watching as clearly a lot of detective investigators still on the porch there. We've also been watching what appear to be friends or family members going in and out of that house along with those detectives.
