I have always had a passion for sewing. When I was twelve I asked my mother to show me how to thread the machine and the rest came naturally. Attending college for graphic design, I have always loved colors and patterns. In 1994 I moved to Saint James City, FL from Springfield, MO. While living here in SWFL I have pursued my passion for design, with a position at Williams-Sonoma and then later as Design Manager for David Weekley Homes. Years of working in a design center, furnishing models/spec homes and making visual displays have brought me to where I am today. Material Green allows me to create on another level. As they say "you'll never work a day in your life if you love what you are doing!" I work on site at The Vintage Market Mall & Salvage, and also hand in hand to create the appearance of the shop.
These are the flat books for green level that you can just download off the website and then print off. So they are basically folded over, they've got the clues there from the RWI, these are the ones that we use for lesser formation. Sleek down the snake, round the apple, up down the leaf, down the tower, across the tower, down his platter, round his head, down his body and doffle his head, down, not be up over his neck. So we use these within SSP, these are RWI and it means that when the children are decoding these, the one, two, three is helping with their ordering. So they know they're starting that way, that's the last one, that's the first one, whatever. And if by any chance they couldn't remember what that was, they could have a look up here, what was that? It was the put, it was the pirate. P Nobby, nobby, oh, put at n, pan. And then, so they've decoded it themselves and then they've got, If they're not sure, they can of course turn it over, oh there it is, and then they're going backwards, so it's, oh okay, that must be a put and an. But these are all the flat box There's loads of them for the green level. So we've got tan, and we've got the speech and frog having a little tan, and we've got tin, and we've got pats, who's a little puppy? So we've got pats, and we've got a tap, and we've got crocodiles going snap. And there's the speech and frog having eaten. Sit, sitting down, and the speech and frog is on most of these. Is it a tin? Some of them then move up to sentences, is it a tin? No, it is a hat, et cetera, et cetera. And now I'm creating loads and loads of those that you just download and print off, and you can laminate them other than these flat ones, but all the other ones you can laminate.
