ABOUT US With its rare antiques and hand-picked artifacts VW Home rates highly on the designer’s insider track as a unique showroom that reflects interior design connoisseur Vicente Wolf’s far-flung international travels. Since its opening in 1999, the light-filled 3,000 square foot loft in Manhattan receives regular shipments from Europe, Asia, Africa and other exotic destinations that ensure a continually changing selection of one-of-a-kind pieces available for sale to both the public and trade. In addition to antiques and international artifacts, the showroom is home to a Wolf-designed selection of home décor accessories including lighting, sterling silver flatware and mirrors and luxury upholstery pieces from which visitors can have their pieces custom-made. This option was expanded in 2008 with the launch of VW Home Design, a Wolf-inspired interior design service that utilizes products selected and designed by Wolf as a direct offer to those wanting to recreate the Vicente Wolf-look in their own home. The showroom also offers remote personal assisted shopping service to those unable to visit the store personally. Owner Vicente Wolf is a celebrated interior designer with over thirty years of experience on an international platform. He is the publisher of three books, Learning to See (Artisan, 2002), Crossing Boundaries: A Global Vision of Design (Monacelli Press, 2006) and Lifting the Curtain on Design (Monacelli Press, 2010), which are all available for sale at VW Home.

Hi, I'm Vincent Wolf and I just wanted to share, I just got back from Japan and some of the things I got there, I was so excited to find them. One of the things I bought is a collection of these vases which are used in tea settings. In other words, in your house you have a section, a shelf with a scroll hanging and one of these bronze pieces with It's the thing that you look at to really sort of calm yourself down. And they are bronze and they are really beautiful with wonderful patterns to it in all different colors. And let me show you some of the other things I got. The other thing we got was wonderful ovies which are wrapped around the waist by the ladies when they're wearing kimonos. And they are unbelievable, they're woven gold and silver. This one is in black, obviously this one is in orange. And they'really so subtle. When you look at this it has birds flying, it's in pinks and golds. And it's really, as I said, they use it around the waist and they tie it. Some of them have long sections and just complete where they do a tassel there around the waist. Some of the other ones that we have strips that you use to wrap around the waist. Really wonderful and they're going to make wonderful pillows in a living room, small chairs upholstered in it, so many possibilities. The other thing I got was this great mask which is mid 20th century and it's used in kabuki performances. It'signed in the back but it's I think of certain people I know that it reminds me of. But it looks wonderful hanging on the wall, sitting flat on the table. And we have other masks from Indonesia, from other parts of the world. So it's wonderful to see a whole collection of different types of masks. The candle sticks are bronze again from Japan with a little thing to put out the wig. They're wonderful, it's fitting on a coffee table, on a console. And it's modern but it's traditional, it's over 100 years old. Some of the other things we have which I can't bring over is we have some wonderful scrolls again. One beautiful one with a rabbit in it. It's just really, just quite exquisite. And I'm going to show you a beautiful table that I brought as well and let me get it. And finally this tray which is all inlaid in gold and mother of pearl, it's from the main jeep period. So it's over 150 years old but it has fighting cocks, temples, all around the perimeter with flowers, quite beautiful. And again, wonderful sitting on a coffee table with flowers on a shelf. Just when I saw it, I had to take it because I didn'take it, I bought it. But I just thought it was just so beautiful and so much the work that was done in the main jeep period in Japan. And you'll find all these at BW Home. And thank you very much for spending some time with me. I hope you have a great day.
