I've been living in t It's not easy needing furniture and not being able to get it yourself. We had relocated here to O We didn't have enough bedroom sets for everybody to sleep on so were sleeping on basically a lot of blankets. New Life Furniture has been a godsend for us. They are always there when we need them to help our clients get started, not only with the furniture that they're able to deliver and that's donated, but it is beautiful furniture that our clients appreciate so much and it really helps them feel valued. We started out with a Ford pickup truck, a little Ranger and a Jeep and that's how we delivered for at least a year and a half. Initially were going to, we thought it would be one or two families every month. That was our goal and four or five years, or four years later we've started to, close 400 families individually and we're just touc It's our goal with help of supporters and agencies and people around us with the heart. It's our goal to help us ac The most important aspect of t Someone outside their daily circle that really will take the time out of their day to go and help. The furniture kind of gets us in the door. It helps ease their burden of their expenses and caring for their family. But we truly enjoy the actual connection with the families and do follow up notes and things If a family goes into an apartment, whether it'subsidized or they're paying market rate rent and they don't have that bed to sleep in or the table chairs or a couch or maybe a small TV for those kids, they've only got those empty rooms. It's just going to be a very short matter of time before that family moves on. Maybe it becomes homeless again. It just was an eye-opener. I mean, But until it becomes personal or you walk into a home of someone that's totally empty with piles of clothes in the corner where we know that's where we call it nesting but that's where they sleep. T And so many people have told us you've been a blessing to us because were just going to throw it away. We know that some people are waiting three or four months to get deliveries and we just aren't able to keep up. See anybody that helped donate, not just to our family but to any of the families is very much appreciated. We need prayer warriors, we need volunteers and a multitude, not just lifting furniture, there's various. At a time I just hope that people continue to help donating to Know Live Furniture so that they can help other families have pretty much a new start and a new life. T .
