Carl asked the question, what are some of my favorite inexpensive interior design accessories? Lamps come to mind as something I use often as opposed to recessed lighting. Lamps can warm a space. I think it's a terrific way to set mood and character. It's really important to make sure that the scale of the fixture is correct. I tend to use lamps with shades that are important. Same thing with wall sconces. I tend to use sconces that have shades on them because it softens and gives a nice glow to a space. The other element that's important is window treatment. Drapers can soften a wall, give some three-dimensional texture without having to be expensive. And the rods that you choose are really important as well. I tend to use either red iron or wooden rods as a way to give the extra layer of information. So those are some of the tips that I would recommend. And thanks so much for the question.
