A house intimately connected to the surrounding greenery, w The property enjoys a serene location near a bird sanctuary surrounded by lush farmlands and winding streams. The residents, a young couple, use those slanted walls made of perforated clay bricks blend seamlessly into the terrain, serving as a gateway that reveals a welcoming stance as one approaches the entrance. These walls connect flawlessly to the main roof structure, presenting a subtle form. The openings in the porotherm blocks offer glimpses of the stunning landscape surrounding the property. At the heart of the house is a central skylight courtyard covered with mangalore tiles and glass inlay. Sunlight streams through the space, casting a warm glow on the walls and floors. The environment comes alive with the play of natural light, creating a dynamic atmosphere throughout the day. The design incorporated a natural material palette, including wood, rustic stone, cota, mangalore tiles, and rich dark oxide finishes. The extensive use of oxide finishes and stone cladding adds a sense of rusticity and character to the space. The communal spaces of the house are situated under a pitched roof, creating a feeling of grandeur. The open layout dissolves formal boundaries, allowing the spaces to flow naturally into one another, with small gardens integrating the indoor and outdoor areas. The design approach here was to create a house that turns inward, with spacious semi-open areas to enjoy the outdoors, participate in gardening, and bird watc The outdoor pool area, with its gazebo and bar, serves as a gathering space where family and friends can come together and relax.
