Fine goods made in wood and leather.
This is Freddie Hill and this is a short clip of me designing and making a delightful little stool out of walnut and maple firewood. I used quite a few handles in my furniture building process. This is a scorpe that I had handmade by a forge in the Pacific Northwest originally used to make commutes. I used it to texture the sides of the maple firewood log. I used white lacquer to finish the maple. I turned the legs round by hand and finished them on my Oliver Duplicator. I made a really cool tool built in the early 19th century. And the first leg is finished. I cut all of the joinings with the domino. The structures were cut with a half lap joint. The floating tenon is the strongest way to join two pieces of wood. I used steel cable to tension the feet together. I grabbed the turnbuckles in natural hemp fiber.
