A live edge dining table is a tabletop that is made with two pieces of live edge l You can go up to three, four, five pieces if you want, but the outer sides of the table still maintain the natural form of the tree. Dining room tables are the t Dining room and conference tables. We typically get asked for either single slab tables or bookmatches. A bookmatch is essentially two sequential cuts of a tree that when folded open are a mirror image of each other. That's probably our most popular table. It's easier for us to keep track of inventory. Usually when we mill our logs, we take the bookmatches out and we store them separately from the rest of the jacket l So those smaller pieces will get put into multiple board glue-ups or we'll use them for our laminations for table legs. We've made some very big dining room tables in the past. Probably our longest one today is 16 feet long. And then we've made some very large single slab tables before. We've made some 14 foot long tabletops that were made from a single piece of wood. So 14 foot long and 4 feet wide. Now we can make dining room tables basically any size. Our large sawmill will cut 40 feet long. So we're not maxed out really with size or width with the l But we've been part of some very large projects. Obviously our most requested dining room table is walnut due to the color. It's got a really nice chocolate brown color. We get requests for many different species of wood. Some species of wood I wouldn't recommend making a dining room table out of due to the softness. Usually softwoods, they make good products but they don't make good Generally the softer the wood, the easier is the dent. The finish will take to it the same way it would a hardwood.
