How to activate Rustic Roots Dried Sourdough Starter Gather all your supplies then in a clear jar stir 1 tablespoon of dried starter with 2 tablespoons of warm, not hot water. Stir and let t Next, feed your starter by adding 2 tablespoons of flour and mixing well. Cover and let sit for 24 hours at room temperature. Grow your starter each day by adding a 4th cup of flour and 2 tablespoons of water to the starter. Mix well, cover loosely and let it sit at room temperature, allowing your starter to bubble. Repeat daily and watch your starter grow. Bake and enjoy homemade sourdough bread with rustic roots. Always be sure to stir your starter well. Never seal your jar we recommend towel with a rubber band around so that there is airflow but not Try putting your jar of starter in the oven with the oven on or stored in your cupboard for the perfect temperature to help it grow. Be sure to give it plenty of time. Some starter takes longer to wake up than others.
