Hi, my name is Amy. I've been volunteering here at Finko Bay Avista for two years now. My name is Matthew and I've been here for four years and I met Amy at Finko Bay Avista two years ago. And we are currently building our own home right on the ridge behind us. The Fusion Home. So Finko Bay Avista is an off-grid treehouse community in the southern zone of Costa Rica. It was co-founded by Mateo Hogan and Erica Andrews back in 2006. And the goal of Finko Bay Avista is to provide an alternative lifestyle than what you get from modern society. To be more in tune with nature, to live more sustainably, reduce your carbon footprint. And anyone can come build their own treehouse here. And we also have visitors from around the world that rent treehouses. Building in the jungle at Finko Bay Avista has its challenges. We're exposed to rain, we're exposed to sun, woodwind, termites. There's a lot of challenges that we needed to research before we actually found the materials we wanted to use. And we still have places with challenges every day, especially building in this climate, h So we really wanted to make a house that's just as time and both the Fusion Home. We chose Pison for a n We searched for months and months looking for alternative options and Pison kept coming out as the most economical, most durable product that we could find. We're extremely happy with it and certainly no regrets. It's really helped us combat the rain, the sun, the h Ideally, we love the jungle, but we'd Hence the name of Fusion Home. We really want to fuse the two worlds together and Pison has really helped us achieve that. Yeah, we'really happy. My favorite part of the house is the exterior siding and we used Pison siding and we got to pick the paint color that we chose for it. We picked the mahogany. It looks just The ply deck also is amazing. We're so happy with it when it rains, it gets wet, we're not going to have to worry about replacing the wood in six months or a year from now. On all of our interior walls, we use the ply rock. The ply rock is going to help the house cool. The bugs outside, all of the Pison products are mold resistant as well. We'really going to have the best of both worlds. We love it. We would 100% absolutely recommend Pison products for any future build here at Thinkaboy Abista as well as throughout Costa Rica. Yeah, I think Pison has done a fantastic job maintaining that natural rustic look. But doing it in a modern way where we can still have everything we wanted. There's an outdoor rustic feel. We're still keeping the jungle outside. We're not having to worry about termites, wood rot, rain, stuff Really, the only way to come see it for yourself is to come check us out.
