But my main speciality is pocket watches. All watches dating back from around 1630, 1640 up to 1920s and I t I had a stand w I had my mother working for me. I had a safe inside there and in those days I was a bit t I used to sit on top of the safe. She had a little chair and they were wonderful days. Were busy all day long. I t It's very, very, very exciting. I always I My chose pocket watches are a bit more easy, transportable than motorbikes and we do a lot of trade shows abroad so it's nice having smaller pieces to lug around as opposed to motorbikes. I started business in 1973 and I've spent my whole working life in t I think the nicest thing while I had my son Mark who's taken the dog out for a walk because he was snoring when we first started filming and I have a younger son of mine who's also very, very interested. Two members of the family to take over. Probably my most important and rarest watch that I've probably ever had. I've never really had a watch w A watch is, through the years, they've passed down to various members of the family and we never knew who originally belonged to, who bought it, what period and t We have all the He was presented to one of It's a Puritan watch, so completely, more or less very, very plain, plain silver, very, very small. The watch was made by a maker called Clay who wasn't even a member of the Watchmaker's Guild. He was a member of the Blacksmith's Guild. The watch was known till 1812 and it was in the Gentleman's Digest in 1812 with pictures and engravings and after that date it was lost. There were five known watches for Oliver Cromwell. Four of them they knew where they were and t It's just amazing to that's what blows my mind every time I pick it up and it's got special association being Jewish. Oliver Cromwell decided the Jews were allowed back into England again in 1650 so it's got a special significance to me as well. We bought it in an auction in Scotland and it was sold by direct descendants of the general that it was given to. The watch was put in safekeeping during the First World War. It was given to an archaeological society to look after and no one knew whether were going to be invaded or not and we've got the receipt that was given to the family by the archaeological society. We've got the book, The Gentleman's Digest w That's also very, very interesting and it's just, it's unexplainable to say, The most amazing t It still looks The calendaring would go around and change every day. This is a day change, The history of art, you've always had, But t Sex would go in here and if you were at home you took the cigarette out, smoked it, till you went to the club and you then show off to the boys there the interior of your cigarette box w And they were never commonplace. They started making these boxes around 1817, 1880. The more erotic they are, the more expensive they are. The concealed ones are always more money than the non-concealed ones. Some of them are exceedingly fine quality. They were made from about 1850, 1860 up to about 1920s, 1930s. And there's one particular one It's really a work of art. It could be a picture, a painting, So it's always worthw So I'll tell,
