Wicker's Furniture & Mattress is a family owned and operated furniture and bedding store in Excelsior Springs Mo.
Wicker's Furniture Co. was opened in 1971 by Virgil Wicker. Wicker's provided Excelsior Springs and other surrounding communities with amazingly low prices as well as outstanding customer service for almost 40 years. In 2010, after a long career in the furniture business, Virgil decided that it was time to retire. After a year of thought and preparation, Steve Wicker (Virgil's son), who had worked at Wicker's since the day it was opened, along with Eric Barker (Virgil's grandson), decided it was time to bring back the great prices and customer service to the Kansas City area. And thus, Wicker's Sit & Sleep was born! Since Wicker's Sit & Sleep has opened its doors, it has done remarkably well. So much so that we had to move into a much larger location (current location) and we went back to our roots and changed our name to Wicker's Furniture & Mattress.
