In 1981, with honesty and integrity as their cornerstone, Ellis and Shirley Fourman opened the doors to Fourman's Furniture. Ellis and Shirley started their careers in the home furnishings business at Roark's of Laura. The goal when they opened their own store, to sell quality furniture at great prices and provide great service. In 1995, the Lane family (Bill Lane Sr. & Bill Lane Jr.) formed a partnership and purchased the business from Ellis and Shirley. At Roark's and Fourman's Furniture, a hand shake and a smile was enough to seal the deal. That way of doing business still rings true here at The Gallery.
