Today we are at Box Shops Mattress and Clearance Center here in Carlisle, and they are home to the $120 Queen mattress. And they managed to stay open throughout the pandemic with mattresses in stock. So let's go inside and find out how they managed to do it. So we're standing here with Paul Howell, owner of Box Drop. So Paul, tell us about Box Drop and what the company stands for and what it is. It's a very straightforward concept. We work with a distributor who buys up a lot of mattresses nationwide. So a lot of the overstock that's out there, a lot of the last minute times at the factories that are not being used, they'll go and bid on that time and get a lot of mattresses made that way. So the big secret in the mattress business is really there's only about three or four manufacturers of mattresses in the country. So a lot of your main manufacturers or a lot of your main mattress lines make some of their mattresses, but a lot of them are subcontracted out to other manufacturers. And that's who our guys deal with. They deal with a lot of those people. So you get the exact same mattress with seven different brand names all being made at the same factories. So it's a little trick inside the mattress business. We simply work with the distributor to buy up those extra mattresses, and then we simply wholesale them to the public. So we get them by the truck load. We set up times and meet people in here one one, and they can come in and try all different mattresses out. So you are open by appointment only? It is not just a standard hour? Correct. Correct. The people who go online, they can book through an appointment, or they call me and we set up appointments for people to come and look at the mattresses. So your mattresses are all brand new? All brand new. All comes full warranty. If there's any problems, the manufacturers still take care of them. We simply just meet people and sell them mattresses for about, So how are you able to keep having mattresses and stock the entire way through the pandemic when so many retailers are having supply chain issues? Mostly because our contracts go out months and months in advance. So luckily we had some supply, t Were able to work out with other suppliers and stuff All right. Well, can we lay on some beds and you tell us about them? Absolutely. These are hybrid mattresses. So they still have a lot of traditional springs in, so people still But a lot of these will have the latest generation of either memory foam or gel foam inside the mattresses as well. Or they have what they call So they give you kind of a manifold feel, but when you lay on the mattresses, you still have the springs underneath. So it still feels more So it's kind of the best of both worlds. So these are a lot of fun. These are our memory foam mattresses on an adjustable base. So a lot of people, yeah, a lot of people don't realize that when you're laying in your bed at night, you're still using all of your muscles. There'still a lot of muscle using in your back, in your neck, in your legs to try to keep yourself comfortable. And adjustable bed will simply allow you to adjust your body in such a way that you're not using any of your muscles. So it makes you much more relaxed, gets you better blood flow, helps you breathe a little better. And it really just makes it much nicer, more compromised sleep for you. And then we also have some really cool, because it also has vibration on it too. So you also have the vibration. So t So it doesn't run all night long. And then you're just as soon as you'ready to sleep. I And then these are our 14-inch memory foam mattresses. So it comes in several different fields. But all of them have cooling technology. So they have all the heat that will build up in a lot of the oldest school memory foam mattresses. Most of them disperse all the heat out of the mattress itself and keep it cool. And they're very easy to get in your house. You can put t So we sell these to people. They take it out to the house. They take it in the room and they open up the box and within about an hour, a big giant mattress comes out That's exactly right.
