Today we're going to take a little trip and we're going to take you down some back roads, bayous, and beaches of Wikii Wachee, Florida. So come on, let's go do that. Let'start that little trip. Okay, we're going to be coming up to the City of Live Mermaid's in Wikii Wachee. Pretty famous place. They use one of the mermaids there for the movie Jaws. Gets really crowded in the s Great place to bring the kids and the water slide in a water park. Okay, we're coming up on a popular spot down here in Bayport, Pine Island. There's a Bayport Inn. It's a pretty famous little bar and restaurant. A lot of bikers go there. It's not rowdy at all. It's very nice place with very, very good food. So if anybody's in this area in Bayport, they want a nice place to eat. Now we're going to head down the beach road, which is long as you can see, and we're going to take a spin through Pine Island Beach and see if it's crowded there today. So come on, let's travel together. Okay, we're coming to the entrance of Pine Island Beach. It's always crowded. We're just going to do a spin through and see what it looks Well, we showed you a beach and now we're going to show you a bayou. Well, here'some shots of the bayou. This is a Starak Bayport. It's a boat ramp, a very busy boat ramp and a fishing pier. People go there to watch the sunset. It's a beautiful place at night and also a Starak battle. I'm not sure if there was a fort here or not, but it has to do with the Civil War. They got a plaque up, which we're going to give you a little screenshot of and you can actually read the plaque. But it's a great little place, kind of dead ends right into the Gulf of Mexico. And Now we're going to be leaving Bayport and heading down the road. We're going to go down on Shawline Boulevard. They got a nice little beach there that's fresh water right on the Wikiwachi River. You can kayak from there and do lots of things. They got a great restaurant on a water called the Upper Deck. So if anybody's down this way for a vacation, you definitely want to go down 50, head to the water and go down Shawline Boulevard. A little ways down the road, if you keep following Shawline Boulevard, you come up on the Hernando Beach area, which is crazy. There is no beach in Hernando Beach. I know everybody asks, where's the beach? They just don't have one. Just name that. And they got a marina there and they got a little restaurant at the marina. They say makes great New England lobster sandwiches with all claw meat. Personally, never been there myself because I'm not sure what days they make it. It's kind of spotty, but they do have a big marina. It's a great boating area. And from Hernando Beach, we're going to take the road down through Arapica, which is another very old place. We're going to look at the old post office and we're going to go by the old general store, which is right on the Fish and Pier Bridge where everybody fishes. And here's the general store. It's a crazy little place. I've been in there a few times myself. Very enjoyable area if you're on vacation. Okay, here's the Arapica, Florida post office. 1886, just a one room little post office, not very big at all. And then we're going to scan over to the left a little bit and you're going to see the new post office down in Arapica. Not much bigger, but a lot better than the old original one. Okay, everyone.
