The Red Barn Farm is located in Weston, Missouri. Steve Fry purchased the land for the Red Barn in 1989. He restored the buildings and planted an apple orchard. The Red Barn is a family-run business and opened in 1990. Their mission is to provide an educational experience for children and families to experience an old-fashioned farm life. This little girl right here, she wanted to come see the animals. Well I just love animals and hey, I love to play in it. You tell me what a donkey says. The farm features a country store, chicken house and barnyard with live animals such as chickens, geese, goats, ponies and more. Children get to see the animals up close and pet them. In the month of May when peaches start coming in is when we open our country store and so our country store is open then from May to November and the farm is open from April to November. Apple picking starts late August and goes into September. We have a really fantastic school program here. Our school tour program is 100% educational talking about all of the things that would have been going on in a turn of the century farm. If you're looking for something to do that's fun, free and you can do it with the whole family, come over here to the Red Barn in western Missouri. This is Patrick Perry with Campus Talk.
