Think Today we are deep diving into this East Side Giant. From various malls, hidden food jams and even a secret lake, we are walking in, eating it and even filming it just for you. Let's explore Tampines Let's go! Alright guys, we are kicking things off in the heart of Tampines. This is Tampines MRT. It is an interchange where it links the East-West line to the downtown line so it makes it super easy and convenient to commute. Whether you are commuting from the city or from Changi side. Now if you are a foodie or a shopper hollywood, you are going to love this entire stretch. We have Tampines 1, Tampines Small and Century Square literally right next to each other. So even if you are going from Ding Tai Fong to Dong Ki, Mu Ji to Unique Clothes, Groceries to Watching Movies, we have everything right here. So right next door we have our Tampines Hub. This is not just a mall, this is Singapore's first integrated lifestyle hub. So think library, sports complex, community event spaces, hawker centre, all these F&B around and even a football stadi So if you want to play futsal, bring your kid to the upstairs playground and then grab some food, you can do it all in one building. So here we are at the Legend 3 Tampines Round Market and Food Centre. It's been around for ages and it'still packed every single morning. Here you want to try the Chai Chi Pork Porridge, the Sarawak Kolomi, your fish head steamboat and then end your day at the House of Desserts. It's the kind of place where every morning you'll see three generations sitting together sharing breakfast. So if you haven't been to this spot, you haven't been to Tampines at all. This is the most Instagrammable spot in Tampines. It's an old school TV test screen on an HDB blog. For anybody that's my age or older, it's a very nostalgic feeling. So now you have done all your shopping in Tampines Central, you have taken your Instagram photos and if you want a little bit of a breath of fresh air and more nature-based, let's head over to Tampines North. Alright, here we are in Tampines Quarry, a little history about this place. This place used to be a sand quarry back all the way in 1912 and moving forward to 1960s when the boom period came, vast urban redevelopment resulted in a high demand for sand and by 1991, all quarries in Tampines ceased in operation and till now it has been abandoned for many, many years. Right here what we are seeing is the lake itself and due to the abandonment of many years, rain was collected into this whole task-forming this lake itself and it's actually a favourite spot for anglers. Around this area, there's actually many trails. If you are feeling very adventurous, I think this spot might be something that you want to try. Alright, so here we are at Tampines Bolova Park. We are just beside Tampines Eco Green and just a short walk away if you can see the construction over there. There is where Tampines North MRT is and it's also where Parktown Residences and Integrated Project is that comes with a mall that's managed by Capital Land. And just a few minutes drive away, we can find the Tampines Retail Park which consists of IKEA and CosMega store and your giant. So here we have Tampines Eco Green. So this park is a little bit more refined than what we saw just now at Tampines Quarry despite that this 36. 5 hectares of land is designed to have minimal h So this park offers three distinct trails, namely the Forest Trail, the Mars Trail and the Diversity Trail. And all these trails are actually fairly easy to complete taking you about 1. 5 to 2 hours to complete at a leisurely pace. But after talking so much, I'm feeling a little bit hungry. Let's head to Tampines West right now. Now if you're hungry, I've just the place for you. This is Tampines West and we are currently at Tampines West MRT station which is a newer addition to the downtown line super close to the heartlands. In fact, within just a minute's walk here, you can see that there are projects that will be launched in the later part of this year. But one of them is the mixed development at Tampines Street 94. A little bit further down the road, you will have Tampines Street 95 where there will be an EC launch. Again, both projects will be launching in the second half of 2025. So stay tuned to our channel for more updates on when these two projects are going to be launched and any information that will be coming up very, very soon. Now here's where things get a little bit more interesting. Hidden in this estate are some seriously underrated food gems and one of these examples is Kraft X Mexicana which is a halal certified food joint serving up seasonal tacos, fajitas, nachos loaded with cheese, burritos and even wagyu steak. Hidden in the heart of this HDB estate. Now just down the street, there's another popular one called Little Tokyo which has a ton of Japanese food You have your deep fried food, you have terpan yaki, yaki mono rice bowls and udon rolls and even desserts and alcoholic drinks. So basically we have explored the west, the north and the central of Tampines and in comparison to the rest, Tampines East honestly lack a little bit of the fun part. So those who are living in Tampines East, if you do not agree, comment down below. But in my opinion, I feel that Tampines East have one of the best connectivity and right behind me is Tampines East MRT. Basically you are one stop away to Tampines MRT which connects you to the east-west line. Three stops down, it brings you to Changi Airport. You definitely can save some money on cab if you're traveling overseas since it's just a really short commute. Not forgetting, Juul is also in Changi Airport and you are only three stops away. Finally, four stops away, you have the Thompson East Coast Line. All in all, Tampines East MRT have the shortest commute to all the other MRT lines. Alright, this might surprise you right in the middle of a HDB estate, you have this chunk cut butterfly garden. This is a mini Oasis with flowering plants that attracts butterflies and if you're patient enough, you might have one of it landing in front of you. So if you're right here in Tampines East and you're hungry, then one place that you must try is this NPC seafood chichar stall. Here say their beef or fun is so good because of the wok-paste smell. Oh, they're good. And that's the full-look around Tampines from bustling food centres to nature green spaces. This estate truly has everything. And if you have any hidden gems that we didn't cover, leave it down in the comment section below. We would love to learn about it.
