What we're going to do today is just give you some ideas about things that you can do with things that you have at home. A lot of people go out decorating or Christmas shopping for decorations and don't really know how to use what they're buying. What we'd When you're going to the grocery store, the candy aisle is the best aisle for finding foods to decorate with. Some of the fun things that you find are really good ideas for decorating for Christmas. So these, they only usually have out at Christmas, but ribbon candy is really an old-fashioned, very fun candy to decorate with. Then afterwards you can eat the decorations. Cookies of all kinds, some red hots, they're a big holiday thing. Cranberries, these are fake. Little fruits and sometimes little vegetables. Always working units of odd n Three is a good one if you're, if you're just starting three is really good. If you're doing Don't decorate the whole thing because the dividers are going to break it up and then it looks awkward. The trick is to take one section at a time. If you're doing something It doesn't have to be symmetrical, but if you work that way, it works better. You have to balance it out and you'll learn how to do that, but it's real easy. You don't have to do a lot of layers. This is fairly simple. If we wanted to come in and stick some of those things in here, we could just glow. There you go. You can put some greenery around that, you can put a tablecloth on it, you can just leave it You can put the handles around it, put it on a tray. It's a really nice way to do it. It's easy. Or you can do what Carolyn's doing, which is, wow. This is something that can sit on your table for weeks, literally weeks. You can just, just try to remember to spray your greenery every day you can. If you have enough greenery, you can always change it. It makes it a little bit more fresh because it will start to dry out after a while. This is a very simple and elegant look for a dining room table or even a coffee table or a shelf. You can do it with a platter. It doesn't have to be a terrine. In fact, this platter didn't even come with this terrine. It's just a very elegant look by using simple greenery and something that you have around your house. Your best friends, Pinterest, as we discussed, craft, flower and fabric shops. Even if you don't sew, you can go in fabric shops and you can buy felt and burlap. They don't have to be hemmed. You can buy stitch witchery. It's a thing you iron it on and it's hemmed. I'm sure you've all heard of this. Ribbon. Carolyn's got a table over there. She's got ribbon used as part of the tablecloth. It changes the white tablecloth completely. It's even a metallic ribbon. Floral supply stores or craft stores have plenty of floral supplies. You can'tell that we smell a lot of flowers in those places. Christmas balls. Around the store, there are probably 50 or 16 different ways you can use Christmas balls. Tons of different things you can do. And of course, all the things we sell you in Second City. You can buy all these, by the way. Oh, this is a piece Carolyn did. We're going to show you how it started. We have to find out where the iron base went. We're going to get it back on the back. There it is. Okay. I didn't even recognize this and I knew she was doing it. That's how it started its life. This is actually from our spring collection. It'something we ordered for the shop. It's been hanging up there. It grayed out if you have a covered patio porch to put little candles in for the spring time. Carolyn took it and said, let's take these little chains off and then she transformed it into a candelabra. And decorated the reed. It's got a little bird's nest here. The trick to doing all of this is thinking outside the box.
