Welcome to Old Bobs, the new green mountain bike trail here at Peddler Bikeway in the Forest of Dean. Old Bobs is 2. 2 kilometres long and starts with a gentle twisting climb through the woods. With shallow gradients and a wide path, this is an accessible trail suitable for all levels of cyclists and all levels of accessible bikes. You'll very quickly come to the first of three skills areas, which have a range of features to allow everyone to improve and hone their skills. You'll find berms, rollers, boardwalks and rock gardens, so there'something for everyone to learn. Being a green trail, the riderway is always given to the slower rider, so there's no worry about having people catch up and come flying up behind you. You can go whatever speed you feel comfortable and enjoy every part of the trail. After the skills areas, you're treated to the final descent. This final downhill takes all the skills you've learned and lets you lose on well-supported corners and the trail allows you to push yourself as hard as you want to go. Old Bobs is the perfect addition to the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre. And now means you can ride from the Colliers Trail to Old Bobs to the Blue Vizra's Mountain Bike Trail, Red Free Milinger's Trail and Downhill Mountain Bike Trail. So there's progression for all levels of riders. And with Bike Hire on site, you can enjoy the trails without the need to be able to load your own bikes on the car.
