Hello, it's Katie here. Hopefully I'm going to bring you a smile today. If not, I'm just going to dedicate this video to the Graham Norton show. You see, it's May 2020 and we're all in lockdown and we're all having to adapt to keep life going. And personally, I'm so grateful to everyone that's keeping us entertained in all sorts of different ways. Now, I don't know if you've had a chance to see the new look show yet, but I have to say, I think it works very well. Even the big red chair has managed to evolve. But it did occur to me, I'm sure Graham must be missing the red chair actually in his studio. So I thought, maybe I could put my beading skills to good use and help him out. So what I've done is make a little red chair. It comes complete with Graham's trademark star on top and of course the lever to make it function. Now this is made entirely from seed beads. They measure about two millimeters across. So they're pretty tiny. It's completely self supporting. So there's no structure underneath. It's literally just beads all stitched together using needle and thread. If you happen to be a beader, then it's cubic right angle weave and peyote stitch techniques that I've used with a little bit of free form thrown in. It weighs about 230 grams and there'something in the region of 9000 beads there, although I didn't count precisely. Now I confess, I haven't seen the actual set.
