I'miranda, my husband and I own Blonox upholstery located in Blonox near Fox Chapel. We help customers design beautiful furniture from the inside out. We can help them pick new padding for their seats when their seats are just sloppy or uncomfortable to picking beautiful fabrics to really bring in color and design into their room. We have a great extensive line of fabrics ranging from solids to textures, large prints, small prints. We even have some leathers that are really cool hides that we can upholster with. We can really help people with the range of budget that they have to fit their need and desire for their furniture look. We have a very large clientele base ranging from residential commercial to country clubs, hotels, funeral homes, assisted livings. We can help anybody who has furniture that just needs a new fresh look. Sometimes it really makes sense to upholster and other times they want to buy something maybe a little bit better or a little bit of a different style because they bought it 20 years ago and it's just not really fitting their style anymore. So yes we can help them recreate a style with their old piece but sometimes we can bring them into what is our custom furniture line and help them create a brand new piece. So it's not always about re-upholstering the piece we have but just making sure what we have is quality to keep it going and handing it down from generation to generation. Our custom made periods of furniture are really done It is eight-way hand tied, coil springs in the seats. We use a quality wood, they're hardwoods, they're double-doubled, it's kiln-dried so it's not a wood that has moisture to it that will in 50, 60 years rot out. So the nice thing about it is we're going to help you pick all these things. We're going to help you pick the style of the furniture whether from the arm to the back style. Then we also will help you pick the padding that you want. So the benefits of doing a custom furniture with us versus going out to a box store is you really get to have the height that you want, the depth that you want, the cushion feeling whether you want a spring down cushion, you want to have a down wrap cushion or just foam. We can help really customize that to you. When it comes to our custom furniture line we're very comparable in pricing point to the stores that are out in the market.
