Today I'm doing my first ink overview. So I asked in my previous video or the one before what you would So for today I chose to look at my favorite ink, cross pilot and I decided to do the different nib sizes route. I'm still playing around with this because well it's my first time. So if you have any advice or tips or things you would I'll do some live writing. I did a swab and I dropped a drop of ink on the paper and then smeared it a little bit so you can see maxim I used two types of paper but I will get into that when we actually switch to shop. Okay As I told you I did cross pilot as a first ink to give you an overview of and I used two different papers. So this is a Rodeo. pad and this is 80 GSM paper. So it's decently thick. Rodeo paper is coated so it is always very ink resistant. This is Tomoy River the 68 GSM version so not the 52 but the thicker version of Tomoy River. I find that this version of Tomoy River does not sheen as much as the 52 GSM and we'll see if we can see that in this overview. For this overview I used Twizby Eco's and I basically took nibs out of a bunch of Twizby Eco's and transplanted them into this pen. So I switched them around. I did some tests on this IO page to make sure Okay what we see here mainly as the most noticeable thing is that because this is white paper and this is cream paper the ink the cross violet ink looks a little cooler toned than on the Tomoy River. I would say this is a more warm toned purple and it tends to sheen green for me. So you can't see that in the shot right here but I will try to give you a close up of this sheen. This is always the hardest part I believe. So I can see some sheen. You can see some sheen right here in the swab and at the end of this it was basically a drop smear. So there is some sheen on this Rodeo pad. Now we go to the Tomoy River. It's a little harder because it's a notebook and there's clearly sheen on the drip but not as much sheen on the swab. So I don't really know what's going on there but sheen on the drip definitely not as much on the swab. There is not really any noticeable sheen on the writing samples. I used this ink most recently in a Opus 88 Chloro with a fine nib and in there it really does sheen but that nib is very wet. So I would say all these pens were of medi Of course the stub lays down a lot of ink but the rest of the pens were really that flowy and The flow in general is I would say medi Sheen is medi This ink is fairly saturated and if you see in the swabs you can see that it has the possibility to really shade. So I would say it has good shading. You can also see that in my medi I'll try to upload pictures for So shading question mark is definitely AES. And all in all I've never really had any problems with this ink. So this is an ink that has been in an Opus 88 for six months and of course it got a little drier and cruddy but it never really stopped writing. Of course the Opus 88 has that stopper in the back so it might have to do that but I think this ink is very reliable. I have not tested the water resistance of this ink. I do have a cup of water right here. There'some nibs floating in there and I would Before we do that I want to show you if there's any bleed through. Let me turn this around. Okay so this is the page on the T Swab has a little bit of bleed through. The job has just massive bleed through. Not a surprise because it was a lot of ink on the page. But when we go to the T With the drip there is some bleeding with the swab but not so much. I would say this drip shins more because of this the more ink resistant paper. Okay let's I've never done this before so this first time let's just maybe I should just swirl it around a little bit. Oh yeah if you can see that you can see that is not ink resistant or water resistant. Let's go to the T Do the same thing. Yeah this is not a water resistant ink at all. So bear that in mind when you use this ink for important notes. I would say if their notes are really important and you want to keep them and keep them safe from any type of water influence use a different ink. If you're just using it for journaling or letter writing and want a medi I just show you how much I love it. I hope you can see how empty this bottle actually is. I don'think it's really hard. It's That's it's a oh there you go. This ink is so good. All right I think that's it for this ink overview. I hope you enjoyed this and I hope this was clear to you. If you have any questions please let me know in the comments. Any tips or advice let me know in the comments as well. I hope you enjoyed. I'll Bye.
