A native of Richmond Virginia, Steven’s interest in antiques, woodworking and design came from the areas rich American history and deep family roots in the “Old South.” Both sets of grandparents were farmers in the Southern Virginia area, and he developed his skills at the young age of 8, helping his maternal grandfather refinish his first table, which he still owns. Now in his 30th year of restoration, Steven has mastered an eye for how each piece he restores should look, and repairs are virtually invisible. Washington Antiques was founded by Steven Dean as a local Sammamish, Washington business. With an eye for detail and over 30 years of experience, Steven has built an outstanding reputation for antique restoration as well as cabinetry and custom millwork services.
