Family Dollar has been one of the most well-known discount retailers in the U. S. for decades. Super cheap. Along with Dollar General and Dollar Tree, which bought Family Dollar in 2015 for about $9 billion. But now, Dollar Tree is considering selling or spinning off Family Dollar. Over the next few years, Dollar Tree plans to close nearly $1,000 family dollar stores across the country, 600 of which will be closed by early August. Family Dollar is closing down. Dollar Tree is investing more than $100 million in this Arkansas facility and plans to restart operations by this fall.
