Local Bakery specializing in Hawaii's Favorite Desserts, Favors, Weddings, Celebrations and Macaron 101 Classes.
Truffles, or “Bon Bons” (as they were previously called), were only made for friends and family during the holidays. The cookies were hand crushed and the cream cheese was whipped with a hand mixer in our home, or hut. After rave reviews and suggestions that I turn my passion into a business, I decided to give it a try. I started “The Sugar Hut” in August 2013 and our business quickly grew. We moved into a commercial kitchen in May 2014 and created Hawaii’s 1st French Macaron Dessert Truck. In May 2016 we opened our bakery! We are grateful to be able to do what we love with the people we love. My family surrounds our business, from my husband and brother in law hand piping each and every macaron, to my sister in law hand rolling each truffle, and my children taste testing in between. Our handcrafted desserts are mini, but packed full of flavor! At The Sugar Hut, we strive to create gourmet desserts that make your ‘opu (stomach) smile. Every batch is made from scratch. All of our creations are made from the highest quality ingredients. Our quality ingredients include 100% California Natural Almonds, Local cage-free eggs that are fed real grain, Produce sourced through local farms whenever possible, and local butters made in Waimanalo. Every flavor is inspired by Hawaii’s favorite foods. The Sugar Hut has become Hawaii’s favorite addiction and we hope that it will be yours too!
