My name is Sarah Form and I started Sweet Treat Without Wheat in 2013. Our oldest daughter had health issues for her whole life and we decided to take her off gluten to see if it would help. And within the first week everything that had been wrong was now fine. She said she just wanted our family recipes and so we started trying to make everything that we had always made filled with gluten without gluten. When other people were trying it they said you should really open a business, you should start at least with the farmers market. And so we applied for the farmers market thinking we wouldn't get in. But we got in and we've been there. This is our fifth year at the downtown farmers market this year. A Saturday morning if everything's ready to go we get up at five, load up the vans and we're down at the market by six. For an hour we have set up and then time starts at seven when the bell rings. So just now I sold a cake to a lady that hasn't had a cake in five years for her birthday and her birthday is tomorrow. And I was so excited that she was able to have a delicious cake that she can eat. And sometimes when people come to the market they'll say I haven't had a donut in 30 years. And then they'll have their first donut and then they kind of take a moment and tell everyone to be quiet. And it's just, it's totally worth all the effort that goes into running sweet treat. Gluten free baking can be difficult because you have to have exactly the right blend to get the same texture or similar texture as to what gluten would make. But once you have it's really fun to mix and match what you're making. Cookies are phenomenal but again it's come a long way. Gluten free has had a lot of help over the years so that's been helpful for me that other people have done a lot of the leg work. My favorite treat to make would probably be cookies because you can make them so quickly. Everything else is pretty elaborate. Donuts take hours upon hours and it's fun and I love the product. But yeah cookies are probably my favorite. Cheesecakes my favorite to eat though. What I love most about sweet treat is the people that we get to meet. We have met so many amazing people at the market and so many people that have come to our house and it's just wonderful getting to know people from all over. We have people from New York and then they want it shipped because they love the product and then we start a relationship with these people from all over and it's just been phenomenal.
