Babycakes makes gourmet and creative/themed cupcakes. Currently we have 79 cupcake gourmet cupcake flavors. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 11a.m-4p.m. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays
It's a family affair at Baby Cakes. Linda Hess owns this cupcake service with her real baby daughter Cara Gerald. The pair bakes and delivers a jaw dropping 30 flavors. We've been operating about a year as far as incorporating and getting our business registered and going. We've been working on our recipes for quite a bit longer than that and we actually will have our first anniversary of selling baby cakes to the public in May. We did start with the farmers market in St. Matthews last s As far as having a storefront we don't have that. We've actually gone down a different road and we do catering and events and take very fresh cupcakes to the public. Filling a niche in the local food scene is just icing on the cake for these connoisseur entrepreneurs. I've lived here all my life and I think that Louisville is just a great city for diversity and trying out a lot of different things and I'm finding that the cupcake res are very popular on the east and the west coast and some of the larger cities in the middle and we just wanted to bring that concept to Louisville and to introduce everyone to find that we had and visiting other cities and enjoying that as well.
