Hi, I'm Alex Sanger with Kella Williams Capital Properties and your host of the Best Place Awards. Today I'm here with Leslie of Fancy Cakes by Leslie. So Leslie, tell us a little bit about your company. When did you get started and where are you located? I got started about 21 years ago and I'm located in Bethesda on Elm Street. It's a great location. We get to have a lot of people walk in and buy some of our treats and create some beautiful custom cakes for them. Why do people come here as opposed to go somewhere else? Well, we either two sides to our company. One is the cake. So a lot of people come for wedding cakes and party cakes. And then I would say we have a couple of things that are really popular in the front. We'really known for our chocolate chip cookies. Oh, they're delicious. Absolutely. And our raspberry cream cheese brownies. And then the other biggie is something that we have that you cannot find very easily unless you go to New York or Italy. And that is our almond paste cookies. People will come in and buy an entire row of those cookies at a time. It's hard to keep them in stock. And don't forget about your red velvet cupcakes. Red velvet cupcakes are very popular too. What is something that you do that nobody else really does? The big thing that we do here is the intensity of our cake design. We cannot find many places that do the level of artwork that we do on cakes. We can do everything except having the cake fly around the rim for you. The best thing about us is that we make everything from scratch. And all of the food is very fresh. We've got unique recipes. Our brownies don'taste Lots of recipes that we use that are specific to our company. And what comes out of that is that we have so many repeat customers. And they come in and say, I can't get this anyplace else. They try and find things. But it sounds So Leslie, congratulations. You are our spotlight series winner for Fancy Cakes. Congratulations.
