What does baking and cake decorating mean to you? Has baking and cake decorating ever got you through a hard time? Baking and cake decorating allows me to be creative. I get to be creative every day. Every single day I get to play with icing, rope fondant, g What can you think of a better career than to play with cake all day? Not me. It means everything to me. Aside from my husband, it's the only thing I eat sweet, breathe cake every single day. This business has gotten me through a couple of hard times. The economy tanked and were having financial problems. I had this to escape to. I got to come here and do this instead of dwelling on our problems all the time. It's helped me quite a bit. I wouldn't know what they would do without it. Why do you want to be on the show for your business to be famous? Please tell us. I'm actually hoping that being on the show will be a springboard to help me achieve some of the things I want to achieve. I want to travel and teach. I want to judge. I want to write and publish my books. I also want to increase my business. I'm not sure it will be good for business. I also want to pay back my husband for being such a great supporter of all these years. He's just been wonderfully to rock. He doesn't ask for it, but he deserves it. I want to pay him back. Why should we pick you to be on the series? What makes you unique and different from everyone else? I started out of very late to keep the degree. A lot of these kids are really lucky. They get right out of high school and go to Johnston and the whales. They have their rich parents pay for their $45,000 education. I never had that. I don't have anything against them, but I didn't know I wanted to do this. I just fell into it and I got lucky, lucky, lucky. I was, I was 53 and I don't have another 40 years to build my reputation. I have maybe 20, 25 more years at the pace I'm going to be able to do what I'm doing. I want my husband and I to be able to enjoy the fruits of what I'm doing now, not when we're 80. We can enjoy them now when we're young enough to appreciate it. Also, Julia Child didn't start on TV until she was 53. Boston, her first French chef, was filmed in Boston at the age of 53. So, We're worth it. Thank you. Thank you. And I just wanted to say thanks for this opportunity and I hope I meet you soon.
