We Take The Cake

This really is an artisan bakery. When we say we do things from scratch, that's just not a tagline. At my age, it might be kind of fun to start something brand new. And so I took a leap of faith and have never regretted it for a minute. I was very fortunate to come into a great group of people who are just fun to work with. It's just a very positive environment. We're providing a product that help people celebrate. All the joys in their life, and we get to be part of that. It's not a job for me, it's just something that I really love to do. We use artificial flavors or products. It'sugar, butter, flour, eggs. So that means that we're doing everything from scratch, everything by hand. We're making batters, we're mixing the icing every day. That's why our products taste We have had custom boxes made, carefully wrapped the cake in plastic, and then we pack it with decorative paper. And then we place that box in a cooler with dry ice. And we wrap that in plastic to keep that box from shifting around, and then we tape it all tightly shut. It's unbelievable because sometimes you don'think that you can send a cake. Looking exactly the same as when we placed them in the box. The feedback is just so positive from everybody. It's really been fun. It makes you proud. So to see people really take the time to write the feedback back and to say, this made my mom's day, and I'll never buy a cake from another place, that's really special. For me to come here and decorate, it's just wonderful. I love it. So as an entrepreneur, obviously we want to grow. I still need to make sure that every one of those cakes is decorated by hand, is mixed by hand, and is given the individual attention. So as we grow, we'll make sure that we have the proper facility, qualified, talented people who can make sure that we're going to still produce our cakes the same way.
