An Iowa-based convenience store chain is expanding. Casey's has purchased Fikes Wholesale Incorporated, including its chains of Sefco convenience stores. This adds nearly 200 stores and expands Casey's presence in Texas and into the states of Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. Casey's currently operates 2600 stores in Iowa and 16 other states. The very first store opened in Boone in 1968. When we talked to Casey's folks last year, they told Casey's CI they hoped to add 350 stores by 2026.
