He's one of the most familiar faces in Santa Barbara and Joe's bartender Francisco Frankie Calvio just celebrated 50 years at the Landmark restaurant. Calvio started as a dishwasher in 1970 and it wasn't long before he moved into what is now his regular spot behind the normally bustling bar these days with customers using outside dining during the COVID restrictions. He sometimes goes out there to see his regulars and reconnect since the bar stools are empty. People feel special when they come to a place and they see the same faces and they see that They feel at ease when they know someone they can trust and just talk to them about anything.
