I know it sounds a little crazy to be putting an egg yolk in your coffee, but believe me, this is the creamiest, most delicious way that I love to drink my coffee every single morning. Come along and see how easy it is to make. Egg yolk coffee is a nutrient-dense alternative to plain black old coffee. It provides extra fat from the egg yolk and protein from collagen. I also add a little hint of sugar into my coffee. Those components combined make sure that my body can metabolize caffeine a little better because I personally am pretty sensitive to caffeine. Make your regular coffee the way you I love my espresso machine, so I will make a shot of espresso. Then I am cracking an egg and separating the egg white from the egg yolk. This is pretty simple, but if you've never tried it before, make sure to practice a little bit. Sometimes it can be hit or miss, but I promise you'll get it in no time. Once you have your egg yolk separated, go ahead and add your desired amount of sugar. For me, this is usually around one teaspoon. Now it's time to mix the egg yolk and the sugar together by whisking. I'm just doing this with a spoon, but if you have a little tiny whisk, that works really well too. Next, I add in a serving of my collagen powder. Make sure your collagen powder is unflavored or it has a flavor that you Do not use That is not going to be y All right, and now it's time to mix everything together. So using your tiny whisk or a plain old teaspoon, make sure to blend and blend until you reach a really silky smooth consistency Once that's done, go and heat your milk. I'm using raw milk from our cow that I've steamed in our espresso machine, and I usually pour it over the egg yolk mixture while stirring, and then I continue stirring to make sure that my mixture and the milk is incorporated evenly. Last but not least, I add in my shot of espresso. You can double shot if that's what you prefer. For me, I try to keep the caffeine on the lower end, and there we go.
