FLUID Coffeebar is an internet multi-roaster cafe. We serve coffee from Intelligentsia and other thirdwave roasters. Fluid wants to bring the best coffee from the big cities to Valpo. We specialize in cold brew on tap, pour-overs, and hand-crafted lattes made with in-house syrups. Our cafe fare features vegan options, gluten-free options and artisan local baked goods. Teas, Tonics, and Local Kombucha round out our menu. We feature lightning speed free wifi and a public printer.
After exploring Indiana Dunes Country all day, I'm ready for a hot cup of coffee. But I know just where to go. Fluid! Let's go in and see what they have brewing. One of the most interesting things I think is our artwork. We absolutely love art. So once a month we change everything in here, which is really a great feeling. To see different things every time you walk in the doors is awesome and our customer is appreciative. It's awesome. It creates all the syrups from scratch. I love making syrups. She does. Yeah, We have one syrup with cayenne pepper. We try to do things really different. We have monthly meetings with our baristas and we really try measuring everything perfectly. Pulling an espresso shot has something to do with timing, color, weight. We pay really close attention to get it perfect and then measuring the syrups, making the batches of syrups. Everything is super consistent in standards. For the people that aren't familiar with what Nitro coffee is, it's a cold coffee that is either flash chilled or cold brewed and then kegged and then served on tap similar to So it comes out kind of with a thick creamy head. It has a beautiful cascade to it. It's delicious. It'sweet. It's just smoother. So we use that on tap or we use it to create super popular cocktails that we do and then add some of Allison'syrups to some of the Nitro and it's fabulous.
