Family owned coffee and candy shop
My name is Courtney Vavati and I, my family owns the Chocolate Iguana on 4th. Well, we didn't actually start it. The original owners, it was their college business project. And they were open across the street and they just had candy. And then about, I don't know, six months after that, they moved to this location and started the candy or the coffee and everything. And then my mom started working here and about a year after that, we bought it. My mom worked here for about a year and then the original owners opened another business and they thought that would be more profitable. So they decided that either we could buy this one or they would close it and we decided to buy it and make our family business. And since then, both of their other locations have closed and now we're the only one left, which is awesome because we feel Well, I've had other jobs in my life but my middle sister, We also have a younger sister who has been here, And it's just really a part of our life and we just couldn't imagine not being here. We really love it. It's delicious and our coffee is really good and we have just a little bit of everything for everybody's taste.
