Historic Perk

Howdy! It's Jim Marrotto and this is late September 2025. We're in Springfield, Tennessee. Were down in Syria. Were going to the Belwich Festival, Belwich Fall Festival in Adams. And we saw there was a cool looking coffee shop in Springfield. We thought we'd check it out and check out that the etch-esque poster there. I thought that was pretty cute. I guess historic Perk Coffee House. And it was another great little coffee shop that I'm just This little town has this great coffee shop. Get a nice little apartment downtown. Come hang out here. How great would that be? Yeah, it might be something I'll do in retirement. But I'm just jealous of these little towns that have such wonderful coffee shops. Perk, I think Perk is in a lot of coffee shop names these days. Thanks to friends, I'm sure. But this place was cute. It's in a nice old building that has been well maintained. Here's our view. We kind of sit over next to a kind of a window area. There was our view out the window. Cool seasonal decorations. I had a smashing p I think that's what that was called. A very sweet young lady at the counter recommended that. And it was a very good call. And it was delicious seasonal drink. They had some other interesting drinks too, by the way. This place might have had some of the more unique drinks you could select from. They had some cool merch. Very nice open space. Lots of seating. And just very comfortable. Very nice. And I think they're doing the Christian coffee shop thing. I see a lot of that these days. And I think that's very sweet when I see it. The bathroom looks like, I thought that was kind of cool. So I took a picture. Another shot from another angle of the coffee shop. The other side of it. Nice little shadow box there with their first dollar that they earned. And I thought that was cute. I love shadow boxes. I'm really big on shadow boxes. And I thought that was cute. More cute art. Again, this was a nice clean coffee shop. Had a nice family vibe going on. They had a little bookshelf with some used books for sale for I was going to buy a couple and well, I'm kind of banned from buying books at the moment because I bet I've got about a hundred stacked next to my bed that I'm trying to work my way through and I don't need another book. And Cute little town as I mentioned. So many cute little towns in Tennessee. Just a great, great state for cute little towns. Springfield, of course, home of the Simpsons.
