Now to what seems 17, Cecilia Trevino is here to tell us about another staple of downtown, once again, victim of a break-in. Cecilia? Tell me at the corner of 20th and I Street. And since 1996, Dacne's coffee company is where many people start their day. But staff there had a rough start this morning, finding one of its large front windows completely shattered. Staff member Jed Warren was the first to get a Dacne's at 6. 30. As far as what I was told, there was just two young men on bicycles that came in about 30 minutes before I was here and opened. And they broke the window, hopped in, and then they pretty much left because the alarm scared them off. They were in and out of here. They didn't even take anything. They tried to rob us, but they didn't succeed. The tip-shar was taken off the counter and smashed on the ground. However, no tips were in it. Warren says in the year he has worked there, they've had to replace around three windows from break-ins. He says fortunately nothing major has been stolen from the store.
