If you drink bulletproof coffee, there'some things that you need to know or rather things that you can learn That'll get you more out of your bulletproof coffee because this video isn'to discredit Bulletproof coffee and not at all. I used it a lot when I was losing weight and I still use it from time to time I think it's great. Okay, but there's two very important things the first one's quick and easy and simple We'll get that out of the way now No Matter what continue to measure your fats I cannot tell you how many times I run into a situation where people have just started to scoop the fats Into their bulletproof coffee and they're no longer measuring sounds simple But next thing It adds up very quick. Okay, that's easy Let's get that out of the way. The next one is you need to try rotating your fats This isn'to say that the butter or the ghee is inherently bad I'm not saying that you're missing out on potential benefits from rotating the fats out as a matter of fact It's funny if you use butter or if you use ghee or if you use olive oil It's a very little taste difference once it's actually whipped up And I have some stuff that you can implement here to learn what fats you should probably use more of Based on who you are as an individual. So first off if you're utilizing butter There's different benefits that you're getting now some people might discredit and discount butter because of the case and proteins And the milk solids that are in it. I think in moderation with good quality butter That's perfectly fine. The issue that we face is once again, how many tablespoons are you putting in? Are you getting all of your saturated fat allotment out of one given drink in the morning? Okay, then that's not exactly a good thing, right? So what I would suggest you do is take one week where you utilize butter as your primary fat for bulletproof coffee Then the next week switch it up to ghee. Okay, ghee is going to give you a different set of pretty amazing benefits If you ask me, okay Very similar fatty acid profile as butter except without the milk solids and without the lactose Plus you're having more short chain fatty acids, which are good for the gut Okay, so then you do a week of that Then the next week switch it up to say a coconut oil a different shorter chain Saturated fat right monolorean as well as some MCTs then the next week This sounds crazy, but switch it up to a macadamia nut oil that way you're getting more in the way of omega 7s Palmatillic acid as well as the mono unsaturated fats that are in macadamia nut oil That one actually tastes really good then the next week switch it up to avocado oil You're getting more in the way of that OEA which can potentially help with brown fat activation, right? Then you switch it up to olive oil. So each week switch up the fat sources a This is going to keep the taste fresh be this is going to get you different benefits and different upsides of various fats Now let's break down what we have to do to understand what works best for us with bulletproof coffee If we really want to get granular with it I did put a link down below if you're curious where to get Okay, so you might just think that this is Simple stuff. We want to rotate out the kinds of fats that we get one of the things that we have to be very aware of is when a fat is heated and whipped up They are designed to absorb a little slower, right? They the breakdown they have multiple carbon bonds, right? So they have to or they are multiple carbon chain length I should say they have to get broken down, but when they're Liquified and whipped they absorb really fast This is good when you're trying to form ketones, right? But it's not so good if you're not good at processing those fats And one of the things I've talked about this with Mike muscle before on my channel. It's a very interesting thing We hear about what's called an oral glucose tolerance test all the time, right? Where they basically give you 50 or 80 grams of glucose and then they measure your blood sugar They see how you responded to an oral glucose tolerance test There's also a lipid tolerance test that I think should be also looked at now It's easier said than done, but essentially what that looks at is how well do you process fats? Remember fats digest at different speeds and we absorb and utilize them and take them up at different speeds So a simple example is Mike and I have both seen in situations where if we have Liquified butter or liquified ghee in our bulletproof coffee and then go and get a blood test our triglycerides will be really high Okay, that's indicating that we are taking those fats up really quick Faster than we can utilize them. Okay, that does not mean don't do it But it might mean if you use saturated fat Well, cool Maybe that's one you should lean into more are your triglycerides super high after having butter or after having ghee Well, then maybe that's not the one you should use or maybe you should reduce it a little bit more But you're going to respond differently at different times too and that's exactly why consistently rotating and I come back to this one very important thing Okay, more than Switch it up. Keep it fresh do an oral lipid test if you can and then go along your Mary Bulletproof Coffee way I'll
