Swede Hollow Cafe

They were awarded as having the best sweet rolls in the Twin Cities. They were awarded as having some of the best soup in the Twin Cities. They were also voted as having the best outdoor dining in the Twin Cities. Now the fact of the matter is I never really knew where it was so I never went until now. Now the name of the place is the Sweet Hollow Cafe and It's just east of downtown St. Paul up 7th Street about a half a mile or so. Located in the historic Stutzman building Sweet Hollow is a very charming very cozy neighborhood cafe. It has kind of a rustic charm to it So let's go inside and see how good those sweet rolls really are. Oh These are mature everyday caramel rolls. They're more I'm standing here with the owner of Sweet Hollow Cafe West Lindstrom. Okay West you sold me that was the best caramel roll I've ever had. Well it should be you had three of them. Well now West weren't going to talk about that on tv. Another thing that was the best cappuccino I've ever had too and I know Well I'm a big coffee guy and the reason I got into this was because I wanted to upgrade the coffee standards in the city here. So what is the difference? We turn out the espresso shots. We make sure they do about 22-24 seconds. If they don't work out we throw it out and we start again. We adjust the grinds when they have to. We do it the way it should be done just So Yep just That's our kind of policy here. Now do you hear what he just said there? He said just That's our policy here. We see that's why Sweet Hollow is so popular. Everything they make here is made from scratch. Everything. And it's all delicious. Well I'm sorry but it's the best quiche I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. They're scones. I never I love these scones. Or their oven baked french toast. Just look at it. It tastes even better than it looks. At lunch they've got hand crafted sandwiches and award-winning soups. It's nice friendly atmosphere. There's great people. Yeah I know I try and get to know the people as much as possible. And it just makes a huge difference. It's that tender care that we give everybody. I think that's what's important. Especially in this economy. People And we do appreciate our customers.
