The O's Java Club in downtown Rock Island, shutting its doors after 27 years of business. The coffee shop on 17th Street, along with the building that it's located in is being put up for sale. And while the owner says the cafe was able to overcome the economic impact of the pandemic, he has found another opportunity and he says the space the shop is located in that is a great space for gatherings, but he's not sure if the next owner will continue that coffee shop or not. He always hoped that they could take what were doing and it's working and then maybe they could add their little twist to it and keep it going. It's a great space for downtown Rock Island. I always wanted this space to be a kind of a community area where you have meetings. It's a huge space over here. That's great. The official closing date will be determined soon. Operations will continue as normal until then. We are now four days away from the big seven. What can you expect this year? So instead of the street fast, they what you can expect is big black parties.
