Kaleidoscope Coffee

Coffee that tells a story. Kaleidoscope Coffee explores the rich and colorful tastes that emerge from different coffees.

Engaging stories. Rich, fresh, lovingly-roasted coffee. Community. Kaleidoscope embraces it all, through storytelling, through a commitment to quality and conversation, through direct trade.

My name is Cassie. I am the owner, founder, visionary of Kaleidoscope in Point Ranch. From my early days as a barista, I've seen the way coffee can create connections and make people happy. It's one of those silly, stupid, simple pleasures that's really easy to overlook, but if it's good, it can be this bright spot in your day. I'm relatively new to the Bay. I moved out here just barely over three years ago, and I knew that opening Kaleidoscope was what I was doing next, so Immediately started hunting for a good location and a good community that could be home to this dream that I've had. I'd had a n So I came, and as soon as I stepped foot in this downtown triangle area, I just immediately was charmed by how quaint everything was. It's a very cute little town. It was immediately apparent to me that it's community focused, it's artist focused, a lot of small businesses. It just seemed perfect. A few years ago, I got into storytelling and fell in love with that, and I knew that it would be a storytelling coffee shop at that point, and so that's what Kaleidoscope is. It's a cafe that is centered around the idea of really good coffee, building community, getting people to come together, sharing stories, supporting the arts and artists in sort of whatever way I can. I work very hard to try to make sure that everything that we serve here is high quality and local as much as possible. Our coffee we get from Wrecking Ball, which is based in San Francisco. Pastries, I've got My ice cream is from Tara's Organic Ice Cream, because there's no preservatives, there's only what it takes to make the ice cream, so it's rich, it's creamy, and the flavors really pop. At night, Kaleidoscope can offer not only Point Richmond, but the surrounding area in general a really fun, unique place to come out. We have a multitude of events, jazz on the weekends, at least a couple times a month, two open mics every week. On Tuesdays, it's a storytelling open mic. Thursdays is my more general open mic. Whatever you want to do for five to eight minutes, you can get up and do. So that's every Tuesday and every Thursday are my open mics. Kaleidoscope is located in the heart of Point Richmond. The address is 109 Park Place. It's right next to the Masker's Theater. We're open every day at 6 a. m. Most days we close at 10 p. m. Except Fridays and Saturdays we stay open an extra hour until 11 p. m. It's been a very long time dream of mine to make something There's a lot of me in it and I want it to be a place of community, a place where people come together, ideas happen, and you get to experience the simple joys and pleasures of those small moments that add up, that make up our day. I want it to be a way for someone's day to be just a little bit brighter, whether it's the cup of coffee or the open mic or a book off the shelf.
