We're here with Sam at Glick Gelato here in East Parkland. Thank you so much for being on our show today. I wanted to ask you a couple questions about yourself. Can you give us a little history of yourself and Glick Gelato? Hi, Michael. Thank you for having us. Glick Gelato started, the entire process of it started about seven years ago when my dad took my mom to Italy and they fell in love with the Italian Gelato and the product, the entire culture behind how it's made. He went with one to a market. In the market, the maestro asked my dad to choose any product that he wanted to turn into Gelato. My dad saw corn and he thought about making sweet corn Gelato. The maestro had never thought about it. The maestro has never heard about it, but for my dad it was reminiscent of a younger time in Mexico, which is where we're from. We are from Mexico, so this is Italian style Gelato made by Mexican Jews. As you can see, there's a lot of different types of flavor. I agree. I love it. What would you say are your top flavors that people love coming to get? Besides sweet corn, is that one of my favorites? Cookies and cream is outsells every single Gelato, three to one, no questions asked. I have to tell you, at the beginning I didn't really It's the one that everybody has. But then, once you try it, because it's made fresh, because we make it right here, we use really big sized oreos that we put into it at the end of the process. We put it ourselves at the end. Everybody can see how it's done. The flavor is just unmatchable. It's our fior di latte flavor, which is the base of all the Gelatos that we have. It's what we call the Artis Canvas, because it's the base that we use for all of the Gelatos with oreos. So, Glic Gelato is here in East Parkland. Why did you and your dad decide to bring this business here to Parkland? Tell us a little about why you brought it here. So Parkland is home. Parkland is home to my parents, myself, my brother for the last 17 years. When we thought about this project, we realized that there was a better way of experiencing a hangout place, a lockout hangout place, the coffee, the dessert kind of place, a place where families could go in after a meal or during the day just to hang out and chill. We Parkland is home, and we wanted to have this in Parkland for us, and we wanted to give back to the community. There's a lot of resources and effort that has gone into this place, and we chose this place because this is home. Where else would we go? I appreciate you doing this, Dan. We come here as a family. I think it's an amazing alternative for people who are looking for a great experience. It's a great layback. Atmosphere, enjoy. It's totally fresh. It's really the best Gelato in town.
