So Pagoda Cafe is this amazing little location on Bayou Road. Bayou Road is one of the oldest roads and travel ways in the city of New Orleans. Pagoda Cafe is one of the last remaining Chinese laundries. Early 20th century they had Chinese laundries built around the city. So that interesting pagoda style shape for me, that's the original style. When Dan and Shauna bought it they came in, renovated it, and created this open air dining experience. It's a communal area, they do lots of movies and gatherings and music there. So it's just a really fun place to show people because it's actually part of the community but still a place for tourists to come in and feel welcome. And it'surrounding area, it's in part of the Tr Right around the corner is the Edgar de Gaugh family home off of what became the Esplanade Ridge and would head out towards the Bayou's. So it was a Native American pathway. But that marketplace, Native Americans would come there, the German community would sell there, would come and gather and do trading.
