The green tea brick from Oliver Pluff. Hey everybody, I'm Eric from Tea and Tobacco, and today we'll be looking at this tea. The Green Tea Brick from Oliver Pluff All right, so this is the green tea brick from Oliver Pluff. You can see I've been kind of working off of it here. I have a small amount here. This is two and a half grams, and I'm just gonna brew it in my little perfect tea maker, whatever you wanna call it. It has a little ball of alva at the bottom. So it's two and a half grams, and this is a 16 ounce tea maker. I'm gonna get this brewing now because it takes a bit of time because of how compressed the tea is. So I'm using 200 degree water. It's a little high for your normal green tea, but I find this, it's fine with this particular type of tea. All right, so discussing this tea brick a little bit. It's basically an old style English kind of tea. It's basically shredded tea and twigs compressed into this very solid cake. As you can see, it's got a little design of And then on the back, it'scored in a few places. It doesn't really help very much. This tea brick is solid. It is very, very hard. Yeah, break out the hammer and chisel for this stuff. So that's kind of my main complaint about this is it's compressed so hard. It is very, very difficult to get pieces off. But other than that, it's actually a pretty nice brick. It's a pound, it's 1. 2 pounds and it's 30 bucks. You can get this from oliverpluff. com. But yeah, so I'm gonna let this brew up. I usually kind of swirl it around with a chopstick or something just because of how compact it is. It does not want to fall apart on its own. And then I usually brew this probably three or four minutes before I strain it off. All right, so this has been brewing for about four minutes now. I've poured some off. And one thing right off the bat that you notice is that the liquid is actually very clear. It's not cloudy at all As far as the flavor goes, it's kind of your typical green tea that you'd run across. It's kind of your generic green tea. And it's got a slight vegetal flavor, a little bit of grass, and then you kind of get slightly sweet, nutty notes. And that's really it. As far as this tea goes, it's really just a whenever you want to drink it type of tea. It's definitely not something you're going to brew in a guy wand or anything. You're gonna definitely want some sort of tea maker A tea ball would work too, but you're gonna want to have something with really fine mesh because the pieces are very small as you'll see in some of the pictures. So really that's it. And that was a quick review on the green tea cake from Oliver Pluff. All right, thanks for watching and be sure to See
